Responsibilities
- Analyze traffic flow patterns and prepare engineering reports
- Assist in design drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D software
- Conduct field inspections of roadways and structures
- Manage project documentation and compliance records
- Coordinate with contractors and local government agencies
- Prepare cost estimates and budget reports
- Support environmental impact assessments
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
- 2+ years of transportation engineering experience
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred)
- Kansas Class D Driver's License with clean record
- Knowledge of MUTCD standards and DOT regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in field conditions and inclement weather
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
