Responsibilities
- Design and oversee highway/bridge construction projects in San Diego County
- Prepare engineering reports and environmental impact assessments
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and contractor relationships
- Ensure compliance with Caltrans standards and federal regulations
- Coordinate with local agencies, stakeholders, and community groups
- Conduct field inspections and quality control assessments
- Utilize GIS software for traffic analysis and corridor planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of transportation engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and transportation modeling software
- Knowledge of Caltrans design standards and MUTCD
- Experience with environmental documentation (CEQA/NEPA)
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Valid California driver's license
