Responsibilities
- Design and oversee highway, bridge, and transit infrastructure projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS technologies
- Conduct traffic impact studies and recommend sustainable transportation solutions
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and contractor compliance with ADOT standards
- Prepare engineering reports, permits, and environmental documentation
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies on transportation policy initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct field inspections of construction sites
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of transportation engineering experience with ADOT or similar agency
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in transportation modeling software (e.g., Synchro, TransModeler)
- Knowledge of MUTCD, FHWA, and ADOT design standards
- Experience with federal grant applications and compliance reporting
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean record
