Responsibilities
- Design and oversee implementation of highway rehabilitation projects in Marion County
- Manage $5M+ infrastructure budgets with strict compliance requirements
- Coordinate with federal (FHWA) and local agencies for permit approvals
- Conduct traffic impact studies using INRIX and Synchro software
- Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers and contractors
- Ensure all projects meet INDOT's safety and sustainability standards
- Prepare detailed engineering reports for legislative review
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of transportation engineering experience (INDOT experience preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Indiana
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation
- FHWA design standards certification
- Strong knowledge of INDOT's Project Development Process
- Experience with NEPA documentation and environmental compliance
- Ability to obtain Secret security clearance
