Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of traffic signals, signage, and roadway markings
- Operate specialized equipment including sweepers, patch trucks, and snow removal vehicles
- Respond to emergency weather events and traffic incidents within 2 hours
- Document maintenance activities using digital field reporting systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with WSDOT safety protocols and OSHA standards
Qualifications
- Valid Washington State Commercial Driver's License (Class B)
- Minimum 2 years of equipment operation or maintenance experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends during emergencies
- Proficiency with mobile data collection applications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
