Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive transportation plans for state highways, urban corridors, and transit systems
- Analyze traffic patterns using GIS and traffic modeling software
- Prepare environmental impact assessments and NEPA documentation
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies on infrastructure projects
- Manage project budgets and timelines for multimodal transportation initiatives
- Present findings to stakeholders and the Georgia Transportation Board
- Mentor junior planners and coordinate cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of transportation planning experience with government agencies
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, TransCAD, or transportation modeling software
- Familiarity with federal transportation regulations (FTA, FHWA)
- Valid Georgia driver's license
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- PE license preferred
