Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive transportation planning initiatives for Boston metropolitan area
- Develop and implement multimodal transit solutions optimizing public/private infrastructure
- Analyze traffic patterns and congestion metrics using GIS and traffic modeling software
- Coordinate with federal/state agencies for grant compliance and funding opportunities
- Present technical findings to executive leadership and legislative committees
- Manage cross-functional teams of engineers, urban designers, and environmental specialists
- Oversee environmental impact assessments and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of transportation planning experience with state/local government
- Proficiency in transportation modeling software (TransCAD, Vistro, or Cube)
- Expertise in FHWA and MassDOT planning methodologies
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure projects
- Strong analytical skills with data visualization capabilities
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license
