Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive transportation plans using GIS and traffic modeling software
- Analyze socioeconomic data to forecast infrastructure needs for growing communities
- Collaborate with engineers on multimodal corridor improvements
- Prepare grant applications securing $2M+ in annual funding
- Present findings to municipal planning commissions and legislative committees
- Manage public outreach initiatives ensuring stakeholder alignment
- Comply with federal/state environmental regulations (NEPA, TxDOT policies)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of transportation planning experience
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) or AICP certification required
- Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS, TransCAD, and traffic simulation tools
- Demonstrated success with federal grant applications
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Valid Texas Driver's License
