Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage real-time traffic conditions across Seattle's weekend arterial network using VMS and CCTV systems
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for weekend incidents (accidents, weather events) with local agencies
- Implement traffic control measures during weekend construction zones and special events
- Generate weekend traffic performance reports and data analytics for operational improvements
- Conduct field inspections of traffic infrastructure signals and signage
- Provide weekend public information updates via social media and WSDOT alerts
- Maintain compliance with state and federal transportation regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in transportation/engineering preferred
- Minimum 2 years traffic operations or public safety experience
- Valid Washington State driver's license with clean record
- Proficiency in traffic management software (e.g., TransVision, WSDOT systems)
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure weekend scenarios
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and perform outdoor field inspections
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends/holidays
