Responsibilities
- Design and implement multimodal transportation plans for Boston metropolitan area
- Analyze traffic flow patterns using GIS software and predictive modeling tools
- Coordinate with federal/state agencies on compliance with NEPA and MassDEP regulations
- Develop sustainable infrastructure proposals aligned with climate resilience goals
- Manage public engagement initiatives for major transit projects
- Prepare technical documentation for funding applications and legislative reporting
- Lead cross-departmental task forces on congestion reduction strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of transportation planning experience in public sector
- Advanced proficiency in GIS (ArcGIS) and traffic modeling software (Vistro, TransCAD)
- Familiarity with Massachusetts transportation regulations and funding programs
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience in data-driven decision making
- Excellent written communication for technical reports and public presentations
