Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage for prohibited items using advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment.
- Enforce security directives, regulations, and procedures to prevent security breaches and ensure compliance.
- Assist travelers with questions, provide exceptional customer service, and de-escalate conflicts while maintaining security protocols.
- Prepare and submit accurate incident reports and documentation in accordance with federal standards.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient flow of travelers during peak night hours.
- Perform physical duties, including standing for extended periods, lifting bags, and patrolling secure areas.
- Stay updated on evolving security threats and adapt procedures accordingly.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Required (No dual nationals).
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Availability: Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Physical Requirements: Excellent vision (corrected vision acceptable) and the ability to perform moderate physical activity.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to remain calm under pressure, and excellent communication skills.
