Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo for prohibited items using advanced X-ray machines and imaging technology.
- Perform thorough pat-downs and physical searches as required to ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Interact professionally with travelers, providing clear, calm, and courteous instructions to ensure a smooth screening process.
- Identify potential threats or suspicious behavior and report them immediately to Supervisors or Law Enforcement officials.
- Maintain strict adherence to all TSA directives, regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of screening equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Collaborate effectively with a diverse team to maintain high security standards and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or national.
- Must be willing to undergo a comprehensive background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Ability to pass a medical examination and a physical fitness assessment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Background Check clearance.
