Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo at security checkpoints to ensure compliance with TSA regulations.
- Operate advanced X-ray imaging machines to detect threats and prohibited items.
- Perform physical searches, pat-downs, and wanding procedures as necessary.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and communicate clearly with passengers in a high-volume environment.
- Adhere to strict security protocols and maintain a sterile screening environment.
- Document screening activities and report any suspicious behavior or security incidents immediately.
- Work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by operational needs.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States.
- Must be willing to undergo a thorough background check, medical screening, and drug test.
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to de-escalate tense situations.
- No disqualifying criminal history (felonies or serious misdemeanors).
- Willingness to wear a uniform and maintain a professional appearance.
