Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and property using advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment to detect threats.
- Enforce security regulations and protocols to ensure the safety of the traveling public.
- Assist travelers with special needs and provide exceptional customer service in high-pressure environments.
- Identify prohibited items and take appropriate action to mitigate security risks.
- Operate and maintain screening equipment, ensuring all machinery is functioning correctly.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation regarding security incidents or observations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement officials and other agency personnel as necessary.
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status (must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance).
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation, drug screening, and medical exam.
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Excellent vision with or without corrective lenses and the ability to distinguish colors.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness to work in a standing posture for extended periods.
