Responsibilities
- Conduct security screenings of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines and metal detectors.
- Perform physical pat-downs and searches to identify prohibited items and potential threats.
- Observe behavior and appearance to detect indicators of dangerous intent or security violations.
- Verify identification documents and enforce security regulations in accordance with federal laws.
- Assist travelers in a professional, calm, and efficient manner to minimize wait times.
- Report security anomalies, incidents, and suspicious activities to supervisors immediately.
- Work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to maintain 24/7 security operations.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) at the time of appointment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Pass a rigorous security background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy luggage and screening equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to pass a medical examination demonstrating the physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
- No disqualifying criminal history as determined by the TSA background investigation.
