Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment.
- Patrol checkpoints to maintain a visible security presence and identify potential threats.
- Interact professionally with the traveling public, resolving concerns and explaining security procedures.
- Operate metal detectors, walk-through security units, and whole-body scanners.
- Collaborate with a diverse team to maintain a safe and efficient airport environment.
- Adhere to strict federal security protocols and regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be willing to undergo a background investigation and obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English fluently.
- Must be able to pass a medical examination and drug screening.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) with or without reasonable accommodation.
