Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of roadways, bridges, and traffic signals
- Operate specialized equipment including traffic control devices and survey tools
- Document field observations using digital reporting systems and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support infrastructure improvement projects
- Respond to emergency weather-related incidents during off-hours as required
- Ensure compliance with federal/state transportation regulations and safety protocols
- Train junior technicians on equipment operation and safety procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Washington State Driver's License with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Experience operating heavy machinery or construction equipment preferred
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and digital reporting tools
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
