Responsibilities
- Passenger Screening: Conduct security screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and property using X-ray equipment and advanced detection devices.
- Security Enforcement: Enforce security regulations and procedures to identify and prevent potential threats to the aviation system.
- Customer Interaction: Provide professional, courteous, and efficient service to all travelers, assisting with inquiries and resolving security concerns.
- Equipment Monitoring: Monitor and operate screening equipment to ensure accurate detection of prohibited items and weapons.
- Documentation: Complete necessary security forms, reports, and administrative duties accurately and in a timely manner.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team to maintain a secure and organized checkpoint environment.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Education: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Criminal History: No felony convictions, domestic violence convictions, or drug-related offenses.
- Background Check: Must successfully pass a TSA background check, including fingerprinting and a drug test.
- Availability: Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
