Responsibilities
- Perform screening operations using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology to detect prohibited items.
- Screen carry-on luggage, checked baggage, and cargo for explosives, weapons, and other dangerous materials.
- Interact professionally and courteously with passengers, explaining screening procedures and addressing inquiries.
- Enforce security regulations and protocols in accordance with federal laws and TSA directives.
- Document all screening activities and report any suspicious behavior or security breaches immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure screening workspace at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient passenger flow and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to pass a background check, including a criminal history review and security clearance.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work on your feet for extended periods (up to 10 hours).
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs (as needed for screening operations).
- Good vision (with or without correction) and the ability to distinguish colors.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure in a busy environment.
