Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines and metal detectors to detect prohibited items.
- Patrol checkpoints and monitor security checkpoints to ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Identify and resolve security threats or inconsistencies in a professional and calm manner.
- Assist passengers with inquiries regarding security procedures and baggage policies.
- Operate screening equipment and perform bag searches to ensure the safety of the traveling public.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness and adhere to all TSA regulations and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship or national status, or lawful permanent resident alien status.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalent.
- Ability to pass a background check, including a fingerprint-based criminal history records check.
- Ability to pass a medical examination, including drug screening.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted and stand for extended periods.
