Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo using advanced X-ray technology and manual inspection techniques
- Enforce TSA security protocols while maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service
- Operate complex screening equipment including millimeter wave scanners and explosive detection systems
- Identify and report suspicious items or activities according to established procedures
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel to ensure comprehensive security coverage
- Maintain accurate screening documentation and incident reports
- Participate in ongoing security training and certification programs
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass thorough background investigation and drug screening
- Valid U.S. driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency with ability to learn proprietary screening systems
