Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screening using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Identify and resolve security threats through vigilant observation and anomaly detection
- Operate and maintain security equipment according to TSA protocols
- Provide clear instructions and assistance to travelers during security procedures
- Document security incidents and suspicious activities accurately
- Collaborate with law enforcement and other security personnel as needed
- Maintain strict adherence to TSA Standard Operating Procedures and confidentiality requirements
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license (if required for position duties)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
