Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage to detect and prevent the transportation of prohibited items
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other screening equipment
- Conduct pat-down searches and bag inspections as necessary
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers, answering questions and assisting with screening procedures
- Work collaboratively with other security team members and law enforcement agencies
- Maintain accurate records and reports of security incidents
- Adhere to all TSA policies, procedures, and security protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
