Responsibilities
- Conduct screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment.
- Perform physical pat-downs and searches in compliance with TSA security directives and regulations.
- Monitor behavior patterns and identify potential security threats to ensure the safety of the aviation system.
- Assist travelers with special needs, including those with limited mobility, ensuring a respectful and efficient screening process.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkpoint environment, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly.
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and security protocols at all times.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with passengers to explain screening procedures and resolve any issues.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
