Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray and CT screening equipment to detect prohibited items in carry-on and checked luggage.
- Screen passengers using metal detectors, advanced imaging technology (AIT), and physical pat-downs.
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond immediately to alarms or security threats.
- Provide clear, concise verbal instructions to travelers to facilitate a smooth screening process.
- Enforce TSA security regulations and policies consistently and fairly.
- Collaborate with a diverse team to maintain high operational standards during peak travel times.
- Assist passengers with special needs and maintain a professional, customer-focused demeanor at all times.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Pass a comprehensive background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods, including in all weather conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Excellent vision (with or without correction) and ability to distinguish colors accurately.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- No disqualifying criminal history.
