Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray scanners and metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and bag inspections following TSA protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints via CCTV and identify suspicious items or behaviors
- Enforce TSA regulations and communicate screening procedures to travelers
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed daily activity logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
- Train on new security technologies and procedures as implemented
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends/holidays
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid Ohio driver's license (if operating airport vehicles)
