Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo to detect potential threats
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security screening equipment
- Interact with passengers in a professional and courteous manner, providing assistance as needed
- Identify and respond to security concerns, following TSA protocols and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized security checkpoint area
- Report any suspicious activities or items to supervisory personnel
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on security procedures
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TSA security badge
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
