Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screening using advanced X-ray technology and manual search techniques
- Identify and respond to potential security threats while maintaining efficient screening throughput
- Enforce TSA regulations with professionalism and de-escalation skills
- Operate security equipment including metal detectors, trace detection systems, and baggage scanners
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers during screening procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a federal background investigation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn security software systems
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Pass TSA security screening and medical assessment
