Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and metal detectors to screen passengers and baggage
- Conduct thorough physical pat-downs and bag inspections as needed
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes against passenger manifests
- Respond to security alerts and suspicious activity reports
- Maintain accurate screening logs and incident reports
- Enforce TSA security regulations with professionalism and respect
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Pass TSA background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Standing/walking for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and reach overhead
- Basic computer literacy and communication skills
- Must pass TSA's aptitude assessment
