About the Role
As a TSA Security Screener, you are the first line of defense in aviation security. Your role is vital in ensuring the safety and security of the traveling public while maintaining a professional and courteous environment.
Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo for prohibited items and security threats.
- Perform thorough pat-downs and body scans while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Enforce security regulations and procedures in accordance with TSA policies.
- Operate X-ray screening equipment and other security technology accurately and efficiently.
- Assist passengers with questions and provide clear instructions during the screening process.
- Maintain a high level of physical fitness and stamina to perform the duties of the job.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must pass a background check, drug screen, and medical evaluation.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
