Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology.
- Interact with the traveling public with a high degree of courtesy and professionalism to explain screening procedures and resolve concerns.
- Inspect and operate security screening equipment to ensure accuracy and proper functionality.
- Identify potential security threats, including prohibited items, and act swiftly to resolve them.
- Adhere strictly to all TSA security directives, policies, and regulations.
- Maintain a high level of physical readiness, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient and secure checkpoint environment.
Qualifications
- United States Citizenship is required.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- No felony convictions within the last seven years.
- Excellent vision (corrected vision is acceptable) and hearing capabilities.
- Ability to pass a background check and medical examination.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team-oriented setting.
