Responsibilities
- Screening Operations: Operate advanced X-ray screening equipment to detect prohibited items in carry-on and checked baggage.
- Passenger Inspection: Perform passenger screening including pat-downs and physical screening to ensure safety compliance.
- Customer Service: Assist travelers with inquiries, provide directions, and maintain a courteous demeanor in high-pressure situations.
- Security Protocols: Adhere to strict TSA security directives and federal regulations regarding aviation security.
- Reporting: Identify and report security breaches, safety hazards, or irregularities to the proper authorities.
- Physical Readiness: Maintain physical fitness standards required to perform screening duties effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
- Education: High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Background Check: Must successfully complete a background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Language: Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
- Availability: Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Health: Good vision (corrected if necessary) and ability to stand for extended periods.
