Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage using advanced imaging technology, X-ray machines, and metal detectors.
- Identify prohibited items, weapons, or dangerous materials hidden on persons or in luggage.
- Enforce security regulations and procedures strictly in accordance with federal laws.
- Assist passengers with inquiries and provide exceptional customer service during stressful situations.
- Operate and maintain screening equipment to ensure peak performance and safety standards.
- Write detailed reports regarding security violations, incidents, or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain a high level of physical fitness and mobility required for the screening process.
Qualifications
- United States Citizenship is required for this position.
- No felony convictions within the last seven years.
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation and drug screening.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
- Good vision and ability to distinguish colors accurately.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
