Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment.
- Conduct thorough physical searches, including pat-downs, and observe behavior indicators to detect potential threats.
- Verify travel documents, including passports and boarding passes, to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness and respond quickly to security alerts.
- Assist passengers with special needs and provide clear, calm, and courteous communication.
- Adhere strictly to all security protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Perform bag and cargo screening operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to pass a medical examination, including drug screening and background investigation.
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Ability to pass the TSA Screening Partnership Program (SPP) physical agility test.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure and interact professionally with the public.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- No felony convictions involving theft or violence.
