Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screening using advanced X-ray and detection equipment
- Enforce TSA security protocols while maintaining exceptional customer service standards
- Identify and report potential security threats through vigilant observation and analysis
- Operate metal detectors, explosive trace detection systems, and other security technologies
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening activities and security breaches
- Participate in mandatory security training and equipment certification programs
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status with appropriate work authorization
- Pass extensive background investigation and fingerprint clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with security screening technologies
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
