Responsibilities
- Operate advanced screening equipment to detect prohibited items in baggage and personal belongings
- Conduct thorough physical screenings of passengers using pat-down techniques and metal detection
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to potential security threats with professionalism
- Verify travel documents and ensure compliance with TSA regulations and protocols
- Maintain accurate logs of screening activities and security incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
- Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing security procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid government-issued photo ID
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn complex screening technologies
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
