Responsibilities
- Conduct Screening: Operate X-ray machines and advanced imaging technology to screen passengers, carry-on luggage, and checked baggage for prohibited items.
- Enforce Regulations: Apply security protocols and procedures to prevent threats to transportation security.
- Passenger Assistance: Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries, resolving issues, and assisting passengers with special needs.
- Equipment Monitoring: Monitor screening equipment for malfunctions and perform routine equipment maintenance checks.
- Documentation: Complete necessary forms, incident reports, and logs accurately and in a timely manner.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with a diverse team of security professionals to maintain a secure airport environment.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Education: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Background Check: Must successfully pass a background investigation, including fingerprinting, and pass a drug screen.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, bend, kneel, and reach. Vision must be 20/40 correctable.
- Legal Status: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
