Responsibilities
- Conduct Security Screenings: Perform thorough screening of passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and physical pat-downs to detect prohibited items.
- Monitor Security Equipment: Operate and monitor advanced X-ray imaging systems and screening technology to identify potential threats while maintaining a high throughput of passengers.
- Enforce Security Regulations: Adhere to strict TSA regulations and protocols to ensure compliance with federal laws and security directives.
- Customer Service: Assist passengers in a professional, calm, and efficient manner, explaining screening procedures and resolving issues with patience and courtesy.
- Operational Security: Report security anomalies, suspicious activities, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a diverse team to maintain operational flow and security standards during peak travel periods.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic cleaning and maintenance of screening equipment and workstations to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or a national of the United States.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a federal background investigation, including fingerprinting and a criminal history check.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. Candidates must pass a medical examination to ensure physical fitness for the role.
- Drug Test: Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Language: Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently is required.
- Availability: Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
