Job Summary:
As a TSA Security Screener, you will ensure the safety and security of the traveling public by screening passengers, carry-on baggage, and property. You will operate state-of-the-art screening equipment and perform physical screening procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines, CT scanners, and walk-through metal detectors to inspect baggage and passengers.
- Perform physical pat-downs and body searches on individuals and their belongings.
- Identify, isolate, and resolve security threats or prohibited items.
- Adhere to all TSA directives, regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness and report suspicious activity immediately.
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers while enforcing security regulations.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, or eligible for unrestricted employment.
- Must be able to pass a federal background investigation and drug screening.
- Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical duties, including lifting bags up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with the public.
- Must be available for rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
