Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, baggage, cargo, and mail for prohibited items and security threats.
- Operate X-ray screening equipment and Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) machines.
- Interact professionally and courteously with the traveling public to resolve security concerns.
- Adhere to strict TSA security protocols and federal regulations at all times.
- Conduct random searches and spot checks to ensure compliance.
- Maintain a clean, organized screening checkpoint area.
- Report any suspicious activities or security breaches immediately to supervisors.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident status is required.
- Ability to pass a mandatory background check and drug screening.
- High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Excellent vision (corrected if necessary) and attention to detail.
