Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo for prohibited items using X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors.
- Interact professionally and courteously with the traveling public to maintain security standards while ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Enforce security regulations and procedures in strict accordance with federal laws and TSA directives.
- Operate advanced screening equipment, including advanced imaging technology, with precision and attention to detail.
- Write detailed reports regarding security incidents, observations, and equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient flow of passengers and luggage during peak travel times.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background investigation, including a criminal history and fingerprint check.
- Education: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate is required.
- Physical Fitness: Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift heavy bags, and perform physical duties as required by the role.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
