Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage at security checkpoints to detect prohibited items
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other security technology
- Conduct pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required
- Enforce TSA security protocols and procedures with professionalism
- Communicate effectively with travelers regarding security requirements
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn technical systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Valid state driver's license
