Responsibilities
- Conduct Security Screenings: Perform thorough screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using advanced imaging technology and manual inspection methods.
- Operate Equipment: Monitor and operate X-ray machines and explosive trace detection equipment to identify prohibited items.
- Pat-down Procedures: Perform body scans and pat-down searches professionally and respectfully to ensure security compliance.
- Threat Detection: Identify and resolve security anomalies or potential threats to prevent them from reaching the secure area of the airport.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere strictly to all TSA regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and federal security directives.
- Customer Service: Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with travelers, answering questions, and providing assistance during peak travel times.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident status is required.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a federal background investigation, drug screening, and medical examination.
- Vision & Hearing: Excellent vision (corrected if necessary) and hearing capabilities to detect anomalies and communicate effectively.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet operational demands.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs (10 kg) occasionally.
