Responsibilities
- Screening Operations: Operate X-ray screening equipment and walk-through metal detectors to detect prohibited items.
- Pat-downs: Perform thorough pat-down searches of passengers and carry-on baggage to ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Regulatory Compliance: Enforce security regulations and directives issued by the Department of Homeland Security.
- Incident Response: Identify potential threats and respond immediately to security incidents or anomalies.
- Passenger Assistance: Provide excellent customer service by answering passenger inquiries and assisting those with special needs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on screening equipment to ensure operational readiness.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or national.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check, including a fingerprint-based criminal history records check.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is preferred.
