Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security screenings of passengers, baggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other TSA-approved equipment
- Identify and report suspicious items, prohibited materials, and potential security threats according to TSA protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers while enforcing security regulations with professionalism
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening activities and security incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced screening technology in a fast-paced environment
- Participate in continuous training programs to stay updated on security procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) with minimum 1 year customer service experience
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to obtain TSA security clearance
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new technologies
