Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct physical pat-down searches and identify suspicious items through advanced screening techniques
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes for all passengers
- Respond to security alerts and escalate potential threats to supervisors
- Maintain accurate screening logs and documentation
- Provide courteous customer service while enforcing security regulations
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in high-stress situations
