Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage at security checkpoints using advanced X-ray and detection equipment
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections to identify prohibited items
- Monitor security areas and respond to suspicious activities with appropriate protocols
- Operate TSA-approved technology including EDS, X-ray machines, and trace detection systems
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers while maintaining strict security standards
- Complete detailed incident reports and security documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security events
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal residency status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass comprehensive background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods in high-traffic environments
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn technical systems
- Valid California driver's license (if applicable to role)
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
