Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and CT scanners to screen carry-on and checked baggage
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and advanced imaging screenings of passengers
- Monitor security checkpoints and enforce TSA security regulations
- Identify and respond to potential security threats with appropriate protocols
- Communicate security procedures clearly to travelers in high-pressure situations
- Maintain detailed logs of screening activities and security incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security alerts
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain TSA security clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
