Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines and metal detectors
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and explosive detection procedures
- Operate advanced security technology and identify potential threats
- Maintain orderly checkpoint flow while enforcing TSA regulations
- Document security incidents and submit detailed reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
- Provide courteous customer service to diverse travelers
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass extensive background investigation
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to work rotating shifts (including nights/weekends/holidays)
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and medical evaluation
- Basic computer proficiency with touch-typing skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours continuously)
