Responsibilities
- Operate advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment to screen passengers and carry-on baggage for prohibited items.
- Perform pat-down searches and physical inspections of individuals and property as required by federal regulations.
- Interact professionally with travelers, providing clear instructions and maintaining a calm demeanor during high-pressure situations.
- Monitor security checkpoints and alert supervisors to any suspicious behavior or security breaches.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all screening equipment is functioning correctly.
- Adhere to strict TSA security protocols, regulations, and procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- United States Citizenship is required for all positions.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation, including a fingerprint-based FBI criminal history check.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination and drug screen.
- Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 lbs, and pat-down searches.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Credential.
